Competition Announcement
The National Academy of Music is pleased to announce a call for submissions for the ‘International Music Prize for Excellence in Performance 2011’, an international competition for instrumental and vocal performers. The goal of this competition is to encourage and motivate highly talented performers of all ages and levels, from the earliest stages to professional, to persist in building a career in music performance. The competition is open to performers of all ages and nationalities.
Each entry consists of an online entry form, a video-recorded audition and an entry fee. All entry materials must be submitted electronically through this website. The competition’s Artistic Committee, a team of composers, performers, theorists and musicologists, will evaluate all submissions and select the winning entries. All entries must be received no later than October 1, 2011. Entry materials will not be returned to entrants.
Entrants may submit as many entries as they wish, but each entry constitutes a separate submission and requires its own online entry form, entry fee and video-recorded audition. By submitting a performance into the competition, the entrant is agreeing to let the Academy post the performance on this website for general public listening or viewing purposes. Winners’ names will be available online after December 10, 2011.
